Presentation
In the frantic pace of our daily lives, where time for ourselves seems increasingly rare between family obligations, work, and leisure, many people are looking for a space to breathe and express themselves. Art therapy offers a unique response to this need, providing a creative pause where one can reconnect with oneself, far from the noise and the rush.
Art therapy, through its non-verbal approach using various artistic tools, makes it possible to enter into communication with the unconscious. It is an intimate process that facilitates the expression of feelings and emotions that are sometimes difficult to put into words, such as anxiety, depression, or exhaustion, etc. It invites reflection and contemplation, offering a new perspective on one’s own story, by positioning oneself as the hero of one’s life. This inner journey can be particularly liberating for those who find words insufficient or for those in search of meaning.
I am Frédéric Bastin, artist and art therapist, passionate about the potential of art as a tool for well-being and personal development. My art therapy practice is the result of a rich personal and professional journey, marked by an in-depth exploration of art in all its forms, and a sharp understanding of the psychological challenges we face today.
My journey is marked by extensive experience in art therapy, where I have had the pleasure of collaborating with various institutions such as Red Pencil, the Red Cross, Fedasil, and many others, bringing art therapy into diverse contexts (mental health, social and professional reintegration, combating isolation, preventing school dropout, coaching, ...). This diversity reflects my conviction that art can be a vehicle for well-being for everyone, regardless of our background or personal challenges.
Through the art therapy workshops I offer, my goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where everyone can explore their creativity and discover themselves in a new way. This approach is supported by a philosophy of co-creation, in which I work hand in hand with participants to highlight their skills and unique world. This not only encourages letting go, but also enriches self-esteem and self-confidence.
My deep conviction is that art has the power to transform and to care. Having myself found in art and nature a path toward healing and expression, I am committed to supporting those who, amid life’s responsibilities and challenges, seek to reconnect with their inner being. Whether through painting, drawing, or other mediums, I invite you to enter a space where your inner voice can express itself freely and where your creativity becomes a bridge toward better self-knowledge.
If you feel the need to pause, to express yourself, and to explore your inner world in a caring and inspiring environment, art therapy can offer you this precious gift. Together, let us explore this creative and therapeutic path toward renewed harmony with yourself.
