Presentation
My name is Delphine Remy and I am a psychotherapist trained in Gestalt therapy (Belgian Institute for Gestalt) and in sandplay therapy by Nicole Deschrevel, founder of the IBG.
I accompany:
- Parents with questions and/or in difficulty: parenting support, transgenerational work; “behavior, emotion, needs” sorting these out and adapting their relationship to the child’s needs;
- Children (for those under 5, this is more a matter of parenting work) and adolescents showing emotional, behavioral or relational difficulties;
- Adults.
The human being is complex; continuing education helps me explore certain facets related to the topics that drive me, which is why I regularly attend seminars and conferences on stress, burnout, attachment, creativity, play, and emotional nourishment…
As the mother of two little girls, I am confronted daily with the problems of parents I meet in my practice or in workshops, which gives my stance a grounding in reality and a certain understanding of how difficult it is to be a parent today in our current society, with all that this entails in terms of wonder, stress, and fatigue. Author and blogger, my essay on “Boredom” was published in the Gestalt Therapy Notebooks “...fiances” in December 2014.
The Cahiers are a biannual thematic journal published by the French-speaking European College of Gestalt Therapy and “l’Exprimerie,” a publishing house specializing in works dedicated to psychotherapy and, in particular, Gestalt therapy.
As a former elite gymnast, I also lead workshops on the theme of body awareness, heart awareness, helping people become aware of their physical bodily sensations/feelings, as well as how these bodily sensations reveal emotions.
Through experiential work with breath, breathing, the voice (vibration, singing, whispers, shouts), body movement, writing, clowning, theatrical improvisation, drawing… the workshop helps bring to light certain blockages and repetitions, while also allowing novelty to emerge: new behaviours, new resources to rely on, with the aim of restoring the person’s capacity to choose and access their creativity.
I worked for a long time in national and international communication, which is why the themes of stress, the loneliness of managers or company staff sometimes caught up in games of power or loyalty, situations of harassment or burnout are particularly important to me.
I work in French or in English.
I receive clients at my practice in Kraainem.
