Presentation
Clinical psychologist, graduated in 2019 from the University of Mons and registered with the Commission of Psychologists, I am specialized in the field of childhood and adolescence.
Psychological support will help accompany the child through their future stages of development, given that a child is still a being under construction.
I offer individual support so that the child can freely express their emotions, needs and fears that hinder their proper functioning on a daily basis.
In view of the individuality of each child, I will be able to adapt by offering psychological support, whether through media (play, drawing, etc.) and/or through verbal expression. Concerned about the child’s well-being, during therapeutic sessions I will strive to establish a relationship of trust as well as a warm space with the young patient so that they feel safe and can gradually regain their fulfilment and psychological well-being.
Of course, I will scrupulously respect professional secrecy as well as the confidentiality of all exchanges with each young patient.
Concerned by childhood issues, psychological support enables the young person to free themselves and put words to what they feel, to their emotions, so that they can learn to manage them more serenely.
Issues:
- Separation anxiety
- Attachment disorders
- Behavioral disorders
- Family violence and parental violence
- Phobias
- Bereavement
Care:
The psychologist’s role is first and foremost to listen, support, accompany, and ensure the well-being of each child throughout their overall development. That is why I will offer your child a warm space and a trusting relationship so that they can confidently come and share their distress and problems.
I will provide support through speech but also through various media (play, drawing, etc.). For psychological therapy to be effective, it is essential to conduct individual and family sessions.
During the first session, a family interview (parent and child) will be recommended in order to build the anamnesis, analyze the reason for the consultation, and understand the child’s experience so as to offer the most appropriate care possible.
Subsequently, individual sessions with the child will be set up.
During the first dedicated meeting with the child, I will make various assessment tools available in order to understand the problematic situation.
Sessions with parents will also be essential for analyzing and understanding family dynamics. Indeed, the parent is the child’s first caregiver and can provide us with more precise details about how their child functions, as well as about the parent-child relationship. In the case of assessments, a group session will be devoted to presenting the report.
