Presentation
Human psychology is a passion; understanding it in all its depth and helping reveal its full potential is a leitmotif, a true reason for being!
My practice was thus born from the desire to help people feel fulfilled and happy to be alive.
A quote by Jean d’Ormesson has resonated particularly with me for (almost) as long as I can remember: “After all, we only have a few years to spend in this mystery that is life. We might as well illuminate it with a bit of beauty, passion, and fun.”
Becoming aware of this sometimes involves a long journey of questioning, doubts, and finally, answers!
I work on a case-by-case basis, meaning that I rely on a number of psychological approaches, whether psychoanalytic, systemic, or cognitive-behavioral… I start from the principle that they cannot all produce the same results for the same pathology. Psychologist Saint-Gilles
A more eclectic approach makes it possible to reach a more precise vision of the reality in which my patient finds themself, and thus to treat its different aspects more effectively.
After studying journalism in Brussels, I began a psychology program at the University of Bordeaux, followed by a clinical and psychopathological master’s degree. Psychologist Saint-Gilles
Other post-university training has allowed me to address more specific issues, such as the management of eating disorders (ED) as well as family and couples psychotherapy, and systemic approaches. Psychologist Saint-Gilles
Likewise, training in medical and psychotherapeutic hypnosis has also proved to be an asset in my research into the human mind and the Unconscious, this place where drives are repressed, where our memories and desires dwell, and where our very existence is played out… Psychologist Saint-Gilles
I therefore see couples, children, adolescents and adults alike; people who suffer from psychopathological disorders or who are going through an emotionally difficult period, such as bereavement, separation… Psychologist Saint-Gilles
My therapy is centered on dialogue, meaning an alternation of question-and-answer sessions. From the very beginning, my patient should never hesitate to clarify any questions they may have. There are no stupid questions.
I listen attentively and in a non-directive way, so that trust and mutual respect are established, allowing the patient to express themselves freely, without fear of hasty judgment and without pressure.
This notion of trust is essential for releasing pain, talking about intimate matters, and achieving lasting results.
Be aware that I take notes as I listen. Only after analyzing them will I be able to identify the advice best suited to my patient’s personality and issues, in order to move forward effectively.
