Yolande Liébin

My name is Yolande Liebin, and I am a psychologist and psychotherapist based in Liège and Nivelles. I am a member of the Belgian Commission of Psychologists. I have been working for more than 30 years in hospital settings as well as in private practice in Nivelles. My work consists of helping adults, children, couples, and families with various questions and issues they encounter at some point in their lives. I do my best to help them overcome the obstacles they face, manage their concerns, and confront the negative emotions that prevent them from moving forward. For a long time, and until quite recently, consulting a “shrink” was perceived negatively. It carried such a connotation that the patient was identified as being crazy. Things have changed a lot since then, but it is essential that this perception continues to evolve and change. Even today, this remains one of my personal battles.

What kind of help can I offer you?

I see myself as a co-pilot who can help you move forward more quickly and thus prevent you from standing still or moving backward. As for my training, it is diverse. I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, Ericksonian hypnosis, neuropsychology, and family mediation. This range of different perspectives allows me to approach the difficulties you encounter in various ways and to use different methods to help you while respecting your personality, desires, fears, and limits.
