Presentation

Béatrice Demarke, psychotherapist and marriage counselor.
My interest in supporting people suffering from individual psychological difficulties or within their relationship led me to train in this field.
Trained in couples therapy, I work with people experiencing communication problems with their spouse, no longer able to talk to each other because they have lost the habit.
Couples in doubt, on a break, falling out of love, going through a crisis that could bring their relationship to an end, are all situations I encounter daily in my practice.
My work consists in helping them get through this period in life when nothing seems to be going right.
“What is happening to our relationship? Since when have we grown apart?”
Thanks to the therapeutic framework I put in place, I enable them to rediscover a space for communication. And it is then that, little by little, they listen to each other again, hear each other, and manage to talk about their emotions, their needs, and their emotional, sexual, and other expectations.
Together, the partners move toward solutions and changes that are best suited to each person as well as to their relationship. I guide them toward the ability to rebuild themselves from the strengths of their union.
However, it sometimes happens that they have already grown too far apart from one another and that reconciliation is no longer possible. In that case, the therapeutic follow-up can help them separate more peacefully, with serenity and respect for each other.
I also receive people for individual sessions: depression, burnout, anxiety, bereavement, discomfort, dependence, questioning, relationship issues.
My qualities of empathy, caring listening and sensitivity will allow the person to feel welcomed without judgment and with respect.
The sessions develop from what the person wishes to address about their history, their experiences and their feelings in the here and now.
Over the course of the sessions and at each person’s own pace, a relationship and a bond are created, encouraging the therapeutic work.
My skills will help the person achieve self-knowledge that will enable them to cope with the problem in a more appropriate way in the future.
I regularly enrich my practice by taking part in seminars, study days, training courses and individual supervisions.
