Presentation
Hello everyone,
I have been a psychotherapist with an analytic orientation for several years in Brussels.
I completed a 3-year training in a recognized and official institution in Belgium. I am continuing my training at the moment.
I have personally undergone a long, several-year analytic process.
With my patients, I work in depth on the connection between the immediate crisis (what leads the patient to seek consultation, what we call the symptom) and their personal history, in order to be able to interrupt this cycle of repetition.
At the beginning of therapeutic follow-up, there are first preliminary interviews in order to analyze your request, get to know each other and consider whether collaboration is possible between you and me. These interviews range from 2 to 3 sessions; they are a first contact. They are important in the sense that they allow you to know whether you feel heard. It will also be an opportunity for both you and me to reflect on the therapeutic work that we will carry out together.
I am particularly keen for the patient to be an agent and active in their work, which in my view is the source of real progress. I listen to your symptoms while trying to understand their meaning in the moment.
I see patients in my private practice mainly at the end of the afternoon or in the evening. Needless to say, the confidentiality of the sessions is of the utmost importance.
I welcome all types of patients in psychological distress.
