Presentation
Holds a degree in Philosophy and is a Sexologist, trained in Ericksonian (conversational) hypnotherapy for the treatment of trauma, I completed an internship in a victim support service and worked at Brise le Silence, a Mons-based nonprofit organization supporting victims of sexual, physical, and psychological violence, as a facilitator and trainer.
I offer support in cases of psychological trauma occurring after a painful event (bereavement, sexual, physical or psychological violence, domestic violence, harassment, accident, disaster, etc.). Hypnosis is particularly suitable for treating this type of experience because it is the adaptive method par excellence, which progresses at the patient’s pace, using their own resources and personal points of reference. In addition to trauma, it can also help with all symptoms associated with stress and anxiety (sleep disorders, phobias, OCD, etc.) as well as sexual difficulties (decreased desire, male dysfunctions (erectile disorders, etc.) and female dysfunctions (vaginismus, dyspareunia, etc.).
It helps to reconnect with the body and to get back in touch with the 5 senses by moving away from the intellectualization of emotions. Unlike an altered state of consciousness, it is an expanded state of consciousness that is offered to the hypnotized person, allowing them to observe the situation from a new angle and thereby access change. A traumatic event is synonymous with stagnation; hypnosis helps to set the suffering person back in motion by combining care of the body and mind. The aim of this type of treatment is to restore autonomy to the person by enabling them to use the exercises at home if necessary, without the therapist’s help.
