Presentation
Myself suffering from fibromyalgia and chronic low back pain, my specialty is the follow-up of adults suffering from chronic pain. I also welcome and support adults going through difficulties, facing life choices, a toxic relationship, bereavement, upheaval, trauma, burnout, or those who are questioning their current lifestyle or how they function.
For my therapeutic practice, I rely on the person-centered approach (P.C.A. according to Rogers). Working according to the PCA means not starting from the idea I have of what you should be, but from what you are, and from the potential and resources you have. It means welcoming your unique way of being, trying to understand your mode of expression, providing you with the facilitating conditions for change and creating a relational climate that allows for personal growth. In short, supporting you so that you can find your own paths without limiting the work to symptoms alone, while respecting your freedom to choose the direction you want or need at a given moment in your life.
Although my professional life was built on a university education as a forestry engineer, for as long as I can remember I have always been interested in psychotherapy and helping relationships.
That is why, alongside personal psychotherapies, I have completed the following training courses:
- Master Practitioner Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy: European School of Helping Relationship Practices;
- Training Certificate in Psychomusical Techniques: AREAM - Association for Research, Teaching and Applications of Music Therapy in Belgium;
- Training in Active Listening: LUSS: League for Users of Health Services. I created a non-profit organization called “Revivre avec” (“Reliving with”) which organizes support groups for people suffering from chronic pain.
I facilitate support groups for people suffering from chronic pain in Namur, Ciney and Andenne.
