Presentation
Hello everyone,
Let me introduce myself...
My name is Stéphanie Braine. Since I was very young, I have been interested in emotions as well as human behavior. Thanks to this sensitivity, I chose to orient my professional path toward helping relationships.
Trained as a social worker, I specialized as a Systemic Psychotherapist and NLP practitioner.
In my consultations, I am particularly attentive to establishing an atmosphere of trust and non-judgment. I take the time to meet in order to work with the person or the system to set achievable therapeutic goals. My approach is intended to be non-normalizing, meaning that I focus more on possible solutions to your problem rather than confining you to a label. Listening actively, moving at the pace of the person or people involved, and helping them become active participants in their choices is, for me, a priority.
In my work, I aim to understand a person’s functioning as a whole, that is: What brings the person to be in this situation? How does their entourage react? What does the person, the couple, the family, the surrounding system really want, and what have they already put in place?
To do this, I use different tools learned during my many trainings. My main focus, however, is the systemic approach with its various tools (landscape genogram, psychodrama, live sculpture, floating objects...), but I also introduce techniques from strategic brief therapy, sophrology and art therapy.
I am also able to support and supervise professionals who find themselves stuck in uncomfortable situations.
It is enriched by these experiences that I wish to support you towards a new discovery of yourself.
